Power Infrastructure
Prognostics & Diagnostics
The main features of modern power grids include 1) the increasing use of inverter-based distributed resources to supply environmentally friendly power and 2) the shift towards direct current (DC) to enhance power supply efficiency. It is anticipated that new forms of inverter-based and hybrid AC/DC power grids will be developed. Technologies capable of analyzing such complex modern power grids are essential. Our laboratory researches technologies that can analyze both the steady-state and transient-state of modern power grids.
